What is joint welding?

Joint welding involves placing a welding rod between two-floor coverings and heating it. As the temperature rises, the rod melts and securely fuses with the floor covering.

This method is applicable to all PVC floor types, including coving systems, sports floors, and wooden floors. Its primary installation feature ensures full waterproofing, making it essential for areas prone to moisture, such as communal kitchens and sports floors.

What is cold seaming?

The process involves inserting a specialized product between two slightly open floor coverings. Cold seaming is suitable for all types of vinyl flooring on rolls, excluding homogeneous products. It offers a faster installation time, approximately half that of traditional joint welding with a rod.

Using a water-based formula, cold seaming is environmentally friendly and eliminates concerns related to welding rod storage. Moreover, it requires only a simple two-component cartridge, eliminating the need for specific materials.
